My wife and I were driving through Siena a week ago and found this gem of a store that served sandwiches. We both ordered. Pecorino “mezzano” sandwiches, which were superb. Lovely fresh crusty bread. Ripe tomatoes and really, really flavourful cheese. The owner was wonderful, insisting that we sit in his “waiting room” outside, which you can see in the photos. And only when we finished the sandwiches did we realize that the bags were individually painted. Absolute treat of a place we both highly recommend.Risposta del proprietario

Great little store with all your basic essentials. I grabbed a water and a Maxibon ice cream. The gentleman working there was super friendly and immediately understood I wasn’t a native Italian speaker. He asked what language I spoke and kindly offered me free refills for my water. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever near the Siena Cathedral!

I got a panini sandwich there and it was so tasty ! You could tell it was made with fresh and high quality ingredients. The owner was extremely nice. For two minutes I felt transported in time back to when I was little and my grandpa would make a sandwich for me with tomatoes from his garden. The best Italian experience ♥️

Al Boccon di Bòcco, da Alberto has the best customer service in Siena. I have been studying abroad in Siena this summer and Alberto has always made me feel very welcomed. He also gives his customers free cold water which helps a lot on hot days. Thank you Alberto!
